Redesigned local dashboard. ctxe dashboard has a new Status overview with live charts, workspace detail with questions and reindex, history with follow-ups, and Ask, Chunks, Logs and Settings pages. The last known data shows at once while it refreshes.
Ask plans with semantic search. Ask searches your code with semantic search and reads, greps and outlines the source it finds. Planning and the answer run as one cached conversation, and answers that describe a flow include a Mermaid flowchart.
Two MCP tools: semantic_search and ask_context. semantic_search finds code for a behavior you cannot name yet, ranked across several phrasings of the request; ask_context explains how it works across files. Both are read-only, so agents can call them in plan mode. Chunk bodies and Ask records moved to the CLI (ctxe fetch, ctxe records).
Deeper language understanding. Native C++ and C# support with project context, function references across C, Go, Java, Python, Rust, Swift, PHP, Dart and TypeScript, and new shell, PowerShell, TOML, YAML, INI and JSON profiles.
CLI and agent skills. New ctxe fetch, ctxe records and ctxe workspace list commands, logs that rotate by size, and workspace upgrades that resume where they stopped. The installer ships the ctxe and ctxe-explore agent skills in place of always-on guidance.

Before you update

The CtxE MCP server now exposes only semantic_search and ask_context. Agents that called other CtxE tools, including inspect_path, must switch to these two or to ctxe fetch and ctxe records.

The CLI now talks to api.ctxe.tlelabs.com. Your existing sign-in carries over; there is no need to log in again.
